A classic London Dry style gin. Clean, piny, and juniper-forward, this gin is balanced with bright lemon zest and lavender notes.
This is an eight-botanical gin. The main botanical is the leaf of the iGwanitsha, which is isiXhosa for the Spekboom tree. It is found predominantly in the Eastern Cape, and the semi-arid Karoo region of South Africa. Spekboom trees grow to be between two, and five meters tall and can live up to 200 years. The plant is easy to grow and can survive frost, drought, and fire. Spekboom is ten times more effective than the Amazon rainforest at removing carbon dioxide from the atmosphere. One hectare of Spekboom can remove 4.2 tonnes of CO2 per year.
The leaves of the Spekboom tree is edible and very high in Vitamin C, which adds to the well-balanced lemon-citrus heart of this perfect pouring Gin.
